About Hari
Hari Stephen Kumar is an international storytelling coach, storyteller/performer, and communications strategist. He brings over 20 years of expertise in communication and learning experience design for the purpose of catalyzing transformation and inclusion in both corporate and academic organizations.
Hari’s routes and roots include India, Yemen, Egypt, Arizona, and over 27 consecutive winters in New England. He earned his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2000, and his Master of Arts in Communication in 2011.
He has had three successful careers — first as an engineer and trainer from 1997-2008, then as a scholar and instructor in the humanities from 2008-2018, and as a sales storytelling coach in the tech industry from 2018-2022.
In 2022, Hari founded his own company (Wyvern Coaching LLC) to provide storytelling coaching and training services to clients and communities.
Hari is also a scholar-storyteller of cultural issues, specializing in crafting richly layered multimedia performances that engage and empower audiences on issues of race, politics, religion, gender, and mass media.
When he’s not storytelling or coaching, Hari enjoys flying a plane in the skies over Western Mass, road cycling, performing improv comedy, and wandering in the woods with just a compass.
